DreadBall: TournaRaz 2k14: Day One - Match Two

Yesterday, the second match of the TournaRaz 2k14 was played, this time between the Nameless team "Yog-Sothoth's Emissaries", who had the Corporation team "Stark Raving" visiting. Both teams were prepped, ready and eager to get this match on the way, The Nameless throw in the ball.

"Yog-Sothoth's Emissaries"   vs.   "Stark Raving"

Rush 1 - "Yog-Sothoth's Emissaries"

Nameless number 7, Azathoth, goes in and slams human number 7, Robb, out of commission for 1 turn,
while number 8, Hastur, does the same and decks number 8, Eddard, for 3 turns!
Number 1, Yig, picks up the ball, while number 6, Ithaqua, moves in to help number 7, Azathoth, to push back another corporation member number 1, Tony.

Rush 2 - "Stark Raving"

Feeling hard pressed, number 5, Brandon, moves in to slam Nameless number 1, Yig, but fails
Number 1, Tony, breaks loose from the Emissaries and manages to steal the ball from number 1, Yig.
He tries to run further, but fumbles over his own feet and drops the ball.

Rush 3 - "Yog-Sothoth's Emissaries"

Feeling invincible  number 7, Azathoth, moves up and slams number 4, Sansa, killing her on the spot with 4 wounds. Number 1, Yig, picks up the ball and moves forward, while number 2, Gla'aki, moves in to secure the scoring zone. Number 1, Yig, throws the ball to number 2, Gla'aki, who catches the ball and throws the 4-pointer!

Rush 4 - "Stark Raving"

Being severely threatened, number 3, Rickon, moves up to secure the score zones, while number 7, Robb, moves up the field to slam number 7, Azathoth, but only pushing him back. Number 1, Tony, picks up the ball and brings it to the backfield.

Rush 5 - "Yog-Sothoth's Emissaries"

Number 5, Cthulhu, moves up to slam number 1, Tony, but fails. Number 1, Yig,  moves back and tries to steal the ball from number 1, Tony, who keeps a firm hand on it, dodging the threats. Number 6, Ithaqua, moves in to knock down number 5, Brandon, who just gets pushed back.

Rush 6 - "Stark Raving"

While number 7, Robb, moves up and slams number 6, Ithaqua, doing 2 damage, number 5, Brandon, moves in and slams number 5, Cthulhu, dealing 1 damage. Feeling the pressure number 3 Rickon catches the ball from number 1, Tony, and tries to score. He fails and drops the ball.
"Stark Raving" is pushing on

Rush 7 - "Yog-Sothoth's Emissaries"

Number 3, Byatis, moves up the pitch and swoops up the ball, moving towards the scoring zones. He throws the ball to number 2, Gla'aki, who catches it and tries to score. Unfortunately failing to end the match this soon.

Rush 8 - "Stark Raving"

Getting desperate, number 7, Robb, tries to knock down number 3, Byatis, but fails, while number 8, Eddard, knocks down number 2, Gla'aki, for a round. Number 7, Robb, tries to wound another, failing again, while number 5, Brandon, fails to knock down those Emissaries as well.

Rush 9 - "Yog-Sothoth's Emissaries"

Slaughterer number 7, Azathoth, slams number 8, Eddard, killing him on the spot. Feeling courageous, he goes for another slam on number 7, Robb, knocking him to the ground. Number 3, Byatis, picks up the ball and positions himself for the 4 pointer. He makes the throw and finishes the game with a landslide!

Yog-Sothoth saw this coming

Aftermath

Feeling underpowered and beaten "Stark Raving" trades in number 4, Sansa, for some credits to revive their Guard number 8, Eddard, using experimental techniques which makes him lose a skill point.
On the other side of the pitch, the "Yog-Sothoth's Emissaries" are celebrating their mighty victory, awarding an MVP point to number 6, Ithaqua and buying a coaching die. Thanks to his effort in this match, number 7, Azathoth, learns "360 vision", making him an even worthier adversary.

Not yet, will most likely put up all the rosters on google drive :)

(but I'll post an overview after the 3rd match)
