Sake and Hida beef

Gomenasai! This post was only late because we were without Internet! Hopefully you can all understand this, so let's continue! What would a journey to Japan be without visiting some sake breweries. This led us to the town of Takayama, famous for its breweries. These vats contained sake as a  gift to the gods

After our cultural tour around Japan, we tried to feed our inner nerd today by visiting some gaming temples! Well.. Kind of.. :-) Nope, I didn't dare the squid (yet?)

As this still is a trip of learning(?) we went to Kamakura today. A coastline city that houses a lot of shrines devoted to multiple deities and the first capital of Japan... Our most favourite spirit!

Waking up, still feeling tired but taking on the journey, we woke up and got ourselves a refreshing liquid breakfast in Tokyo Tower, the local copy of the Eifel tower in France. Tokyo Tower from below

Well, of course the current terrorist events has gotten us all worked up. Not only were we preparing for a bigger queue, extra checks, but in general we were more vigilant. Because of this, we arrived five hours before departure at the airport... Kodama is back!

After months of preparation by my lovely fiancée, we're finally getting ready to go on a trip through Japan. We've been thinking 3 years about it, and 11 months of preparation later, but we're now only a day away.. Unfortunately not without the necessary problems Big in Japan!
