On our way to Tokyo

Well, of course the current terrorist events has gotten us all worked up. Not only were we preparing for a bigger queue, extra checks, but in general we were more vigilant. Because of this, we arrived five hours before departure at the airport...
Kodama is back!

Charles De Gaulle

Well, it seemed five hours was a lot.. With check-in only opening three hours before departure, we had the luxury of spying on the others around and looking for suspicious people. Though we laughed a lot, there kind of was one person that did get us spooked.. Let me just say, don't spend 20+ minutes in a toilet then come out all sweaty and stressy with a big bag..
Once checked in, we were clear to pas through customs, with little check-up and this was the first time we passed through without setting off any metal detectors! All that was left for us, was to enjoy a great game of Worms, and we could board the plane (another two hours later). As expected, the Japanese did have great timing!

The flight itself

Let me tell you, was a pain for me personally. Don't get me wrong, the cabinet crew was great, food was delicious and we had a nice collection of movies at our disposal! I watched the two latest Hunger Games movies and The Force Awakens! But that was the biggest issue for me. Having long legs, even while sitting in an aisle spot, it was just cramped, and I didn't really get any sleep in. Yet.. Not too much complaining.. We made it!

welcome to Tokyo!

We made it, we did! The customs did a proper check on our identity and the reason for our stay, yet all were friendly and extremely helpful. We quickly got our luggage back and had no issues getting all the items my fiancé pre-ordered like our WiFi and train passes. Even finding our hotel went easy, so although we had a LONG day, we're off to a good start!
Tokyo.. The city of love?
Now to get some rest..
